    Before You Begin

    1

This guide covers the software setup for an already-modded (RGH or JTAG) Xbox 360. If your console is not yet modded on the hardware side, you will need to do that first before proceeding.

    2

You must be on the same local network as your Xbox 360 to use any of the connection tools covered here.

Same Wi-Fi or Ethernet switch is required - this will not work over the internet.

    3

If your Xbox 360 is already fully set up with Dashlaunch, JRPC2, XDRPC, and Neighborhood, skip ahead to the "Connecting the Save Editor" section.

Step 1 - Installing XEX Menu

    1

Download XEX Menu and extract the archive.

    Download XEX Menu
    2

Download and install Horizon (a USB game save manager used to inject files onto your USB stick).

    Download Horizon
    3

Plug your USB stick into your PC and open Horizon. Right-click the Games folder and choose "Inject File".

    4

Navigate to where you extracted XEX Menu. Open the "0008000" folder, then the folder inside it, and select the file named "C0DE99990F586558". Click Open to inject it.

    5

Once the transfer finishes, safely eject the USB and plug it into your Xbox 360.

    6

On the Xbox dashboard navigate to My Games and scroll all the way to the right to find XEX Menu.

    7

Open XEX Menu, press RB, and navigate into Content → (the folder of 0s) → C0DE9999. Press Y on it and choose Copy.

    8

Press X, choose HDD1, navigate to Content → (the folder of 0s), then press Y and choose Paste. XEX Menu is now installed to your hard drive.

    Step 2 - Installing Dashlaunch

    1

    Download Dashlaunch and extract it.

    Download Dashlaunch v3.21
    2

Create a folder named "dashlaunch" on your USB stick, then copy the extracted Dashlaunch files into it using Windows File Explorer (Horizon is not needed for this step).

    3

Plug the USB into your Xbox 360. In XEX Menu, press Y on the dashlaunch folder, choose Copy, then press X → HDD1 and paste it to the root of the hard drive.

    4

Open the dashlaunch folder on your hard drive, enter the "Installer" subfolder, and press A on "default.xex" to launch the Dashlaunch installer.

Step 3 - Installing Plugins (JRPC2, XDRPC, xbdm)

    1

Download the required plugins: xbdm, XDRPC, and JRPC2.

    Download JRPC2.xex and plugins
    2

Copy xbdm.xex, XDRPC.xex, and JRPC2.xex to your USB stick, then plug it into the Xbox and copy all three files to your HDD.

    3

In Dashlaunch go to the Plugins tab. Set Plugin1 to xbdm.xex, Plugin4 to JRPC2.xex, and Plugin5 to XDRPC.xex.

Slot numbers matter - using the wrong slot may cause conflicts with other plugins.

    4

Press RB, navigate to HDD, press X to save, then reboot your Xbox 360.

Step 4 - Setting Up Xbox Neighborhood

    1

Download the Xbox 360 SDK which includes Neighborhood.

    Download Xbox 360 SDK (Neighborhood)
    2

Run the installer. When prompted choose "Minimum Install" (or Full Install if you have the space). Let the SDK install completely.

    3

Reboot your PC when asked - this is required for Neighborhood to detect your Xbox.

    4

After rebooting, open Neighborhood from your desktop.

    5

On the Xbox 360, go to System Settings → Network Settings → select your connection type → Connected Network. Note the IP address displayed.

    6

Back in Neighborhood on your PC, click "Add Xbox 360", click Next, and type in the IP address you just found.

    7

Confirm the prompt and Neighborhood will connect to your console.

Connecting the Skate 3 Save Editor

    1

Download the save editor from the SkateAssets Discord - the tool is called "Skate_3_Xbox_360_Save_Editor".

    2

Launch the save editor on your PC, then start Skate 3 on your Xbox 360.

    3

Click "Connect" in the save editor. If everything is set up correctly it will display "Connected to RGH" and you are ready to go.

Make sure your Xbox and PC are on the same network and that Dashlaunch loaded the plugins on boot.
